The Elantra Touring is available at our Virginia Beach Hyundai dealership in two trims, the GLS and SE. The GLS includes even more standard features for the 2011 model year and ensures that this model keeps up with Hyundai’s reputation for offering lots of standard equipment.

Updates to both the GLS and SE are Hyundai’s new “headlight welcome” function and EZ Lane Change Assist. When the driver presses open on the remote keyless entry, the headlights become illuminated. EZ Lane Change Assist causes the turn signals to blink three times and then automatically go off, which is a great feature for highway passing.

Other standard features of the Elantra Touring GLS include standard air conditioning, power windows, heated mirrors, power door locks, remote keyless entry with alarm and a 172-watt AM/FM/XM/CD/MP3 audio system with six speakers and iPod/USB/Auxiliary inputs. Cruise control is also standard on models equipped with automatic transmissions.

Available packages allow Virginia Hyundai drivers to customize their vehicle for their driving needs and uses. The Popular Equipment Package on the GLS adds new silver roof rails, a telescopic steering wheel, trip computer, steering wheel mounted audio controls, eight-way driver’s seat with lumbar support, dual illuminated vanity mirrors, sliding sunvisors, seatback pockets, retractable cargo cover, illuminated ignition and premium cloth interior.

The Elantra Touring SE adds all the equipment in the GLS Popular Equipment Package. New for the 2011 model year is standard leather seats. Other standard features include heated front seats, a power sunroof with tilt and slide functions, leather steering wheel and shift knob, B&M Racing sport shifter on models with manual transmission, fog lights and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The 2011 Elantra Touring is powered a 2.0-liter, in-line four-cylinder, the same engine of the award-winning Elantra sedan. Both SLE and GE trims come standard with a manual transmission, which achieves an EPA-estimated 23 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. The optional four-speed automatic transmission achieves an EPA rating of 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
