2011 Marks an Exciting Year for Norfolk Honda Fans

The leading Norfolk Honda dealer is proud to report that Honda’s float was the leader of the pack during the 2011 Rose Bowl Parade.

Each year on New Year’s Day, Honda has participated in the Rose Bowl Parade. This year marked the 50th anniversary and Norfolk Honda fans gave their full support. Honda presented “A World of Dreams,” with a 35-foot castle on January 1, 2011 at 8 a.m. PST.

“Honda has worked with the Tournament of Roses for the past 50 years to bring tradition and entertainment to parade viewers and the local community,’ said Stephan Morikawa of American Honda Corporate Community Relations. “The Rose Parade is our opportunity to wish everyone watching around the world a happy New Year.”

This year (due to Honda sponsoring the parade) Honda was not eligible to enter in the competition for the best float. However, Norfolk Honda fans are proud that Honda has won 15 out of the past 16 years they have entered.

“Honda and the Tournament of Roses have had a unique, community-oriented and long-term relationship,” said Bill Flinn, chief operating officer, Tournament of Roses. “Honda always brings a great amount of creativity and innovation to their Rose Parade entry, and we are excited to have their float kick off the parade this year.”
