Checkered Flag Volkswagen in Virginia Beach has announced that the popular VW Jetta will be available to Virginia Beach and Norfolk VW shoppers this fall.

The 2011 version of the classic Volkswagen Jetta has been amped up with fresher styling, larger dimensions, both exterior and interior, and a new 4-cylinder engine.  The 2011 model is more than 3.5 inches longer than the prior generation Jetta, with 2.6 inches more rear legroom than the previous Jetta models.

The standard engine is a new gasoline powered 2.0-liter 4-cylinder. Also available is a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine, which carries over from the previous-generation Jetta.  All have standard manual transmissions, but automatic transmissions will be available on certain trim levels as well.

The GLI and TDI models will offer a 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission that behaves much like an automatic. Available safety features on the new Jetta include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Heated seats, keyless entry/engine start, and a navigation system will also be available.

Norfolk VW shoppers will soon be able to test-drive the all-new Jetta at Checkered Flag VW.  More information will be announced on their website at www.vwvirginia.net
